Co-ordinated my first outdoor event for Kerala Startup Mission, a one day training programme for Industries Extension Officers of Industries Department, Govt. of Kerala at Kerala Institute and Entrepreneurship Development (KIED) campus at Kalamasserry, Cochin on 19th March 2016.
It was organized as a part of the ‘Job Induction Training’ a mandatory course the officers were undergoing at KIED Campus. The training begun with a session by Jofin Joseph (Co-founder & COO, Profoundis). He shared his eventful startup journey and gave valuable insights on how Profoundis has grown over past 3 years.
After tea-break, I talked about Kerala Startup Mission and it’s activities. As these officers are the primary point of contact for young entrepreneurs at block-level offices, it’s important for them to be aware about what KSUM offers for entrepreneurs and to guide them properly. Contact details was shared to ensure further support over e-mail/phone to them.
Post lunch, officers had an opportunity to visit Kerala Startup Mission Office at Cochin. I along with Shahjahan & Sumi (KSUM, Kochi team) showed officers around the place especially FabLab and the co-working space at which various companies work. They also visited the Profoundis Office and saw how a technology company office space looks like. Event came to a conclusion at around 3 pm afternoon and Ajay Kumar Sir (KIED) was really thankful for the support offered by KSUM. I would like to thank Sreerag (KSUM, Kochi) for the back-stage support he offered for the entire programme.
